ICT (Information and Communication Technology) is the use of computer technology to communicate through networks like the Internet.
In this first series of lessons, you will be introduced to this virtual world of wonder. You will learn more about the tools that you may be using unknowingly at home like WIFI and routers.
You will know how and what makes up a computer system and the different types of computers that exist. We will cover the software/ program side also whereby you will discover the link between Microsoft Windows and Android, to mention only these two…and all this through notes, practicals on programs like Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Scratch, Python and others on the Internet.

Did I mention the use of robots to learn programming and coding? Well, this is also on the menu of this year as well as for Grade 8 and 9; since the chapters you will be doing this year will be done in Grade 8 and Grade 9. What will change are the topics. Each year, you will discover something new on Microsoft Word for example and at the end of Grade 9, you will be an expert in this program, among the others, I have mention earlier on.
